The oceans make up over 70% of the surface of the earth but they are not just a source of food and a means of maintaining a healthy planet. They are also great fun to explore. Marine Biologists are people who study this amazing ecosystem, and help us to learn how to take care of this precious natural environment.
Cairns leading reef operator Sunlover Reef Cruises is now providing guests with the opportunity to join a Marine Biologist in their efforts to monitor the health of the outer Great Barrier Reef on an exclusive reef education program. Our guests learn about the Eye on the Reef program – created by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority; and take part in completing rapid monitoring surveys.
STUDENTS COLLECT DATA THAT WILL BE USED TO MONITOR THE HEALTH OF THE GREAT BARRIER REEF.
