Since our beginnings in 1991, we have introduced over 1.3 million guests to the natural wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Our eco-certified and award-winning tours take guests to explore two pristine Outer Barrier Reef locations, Moore Reef and Arlington Reef, which can be explored off our refurbished floating Marine Bases.
Our Marine Bases provide instant access to the incredible marine life and coral, and are equipped with extra activities designed to help any age or ability experience what the Outer Reef has to offer.
We are a market leader in interactive, innovative reef experiences, creating the Sunlover Sunslide - the only theme park water slide on the Great Barrier Reef on our Moore Reef Marine Base and Sunlover Funlover - the world's first dedicated charter venue moored on the Great Barrier Reef.
We regularly partner with organisations such as the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre, Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef, Tourism Tropical North Queensland and Tourism & Events Queensland to host media from around the world on our two outer Great Barrier Reef sites at Arlington and Moore Reefs.
We partner with esteemed filmaker and photopgrapher Stuart Ireland, owner of Calypso Reef Imagery, who is also a Marine Biologist and veteran of nearly 30 years shooting and diving the Great Barrier Reef, to assist crews with underwater filming requirements. Stuart also holds a vast range of quality, high definition aerial and underwater footage that can be supplied to media.
We love showing crews how spectacular the Great Barrier Reef is, and in the past 12 months have hosted teams from a broad spectrum of media including:
Each approved media crew is escorted by a Sunlover media liaison to facilitate crew requirements and a Sunlover Master Reef Guide who provides expertise on the Great Barrier Reef. We can also provide specialist underwater camera people and stock footage if required.
We welcome inquiries from influential consumer and trade publications, broadcast crews for television and online channels, and digital influencers with a strong following on social media or blog platforms. Freelance journalists need a commissioned story angle to participate.
