Over the past 30 years of operation, the health, safety and well-being of our passengers has always been central to everything we do at Sunlover. We have introduced a range of additional safety measures to ensure you can enjoy peace of mind on every reef trip we embark on to the beautiful Outer Reef.
Sunlover Reef Cruises are a COVIDSafe Operator. Our enhanced sanitisation, hygiene and safety processes are not only aligned to all required government legislation, we think our robust cleaning protocols are a few steps ahead of the game!
Upon boarding we ask our guests to find an appropriate seat and check onto their locatoin via the official Queensland Health App, this will be their allocated seat for the duration of the trip and we ask that our guests use the same seats on thier return journey. These seat allocations will be used to identify passanger's primary seating locatoins in the event that contact tracing is required.
Where possible we ask that social distancing is observed but in some instances this won't be practicle eg. glass bottom boart and semi-submersible tours.
You're in good hands
The unprecedented events of recent times have reinvigorated our passion for sharing the Great Barrier Reef with our guests!
Our team of dedicated experts – from our senior leaders to our frontline employees – collaborate to ensure that we are up to date with the most recent government and industry directives regarding health and safety, as well as our own risk mitigation strategies and customer experience priorities.
Our COVID Safe Plan complies with Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s (QTIC) current best practice standards and measures for COVID-19 risk mitigation. This plan is regularly reviewed to ensure its continued compliance with Queensland Heath regulations and recommendations. We also follow the advice of Tourism Tropical North Queensland and Tourism and Events Queensland so that we are aware of any changes that need to be made to our plan.
